Consultations

In order to work in the best interest of clients, it is often necessary to consult with other members of the team who work directly with our clients. In addition to staff members within the agency, we also collaborate with county social workers and probation officers to address the ongoing needs of our clients.

At times we may consult with teachers or other school officials in order to understand what is transpiring in the academic environment. We may provide suggestions that when implemented can assist youth in managing classroom behavior better. We can also consult with medical personnel in order to collaborate on issues that have both a mental health and a physical health component.

Except in cases of an emergency or required disclosure to ensure safety or comply with a judge’s order, consultations and collaboration with individuals outside of the treatment team require signed authorizations allowing a release of information.
