Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) is a conjoint child and parent psychotherapy model for children who are experiencing significant emotional and behavioral difficulties related to traumatic life events. Sessions are conducted once a week. Each session is 30-45 minutes for the child and 30-45 minutes for the parent. Conjoint child-parent sessions are held toward the end of their 12-18 week treatment and last approximately 30-45 minutes.
 

This therapy program is aimed at children ages 3-18 years of age who have been trauma exposed to result in decreased child behavior problems, decreased trauma symptoms, decreased depression, and improved social competence.
