Resource (Foster & Adoptive) Parent
Every child needs a home.  Ettie Lee Youth & Family Services operates a Resource (Foster & Adoptive) Parent Agency that is specially licensed to find safe, loving homes for abused, neglected and/or abandoned children, but to also provide these youngsters with the therapeutic and support services they need to heal.

Youngsters placed in one of Ettie Lee's Resource (Foster & Adoptive) homes receive specialized care tailored to meet their individual needs.  Boys and girls, ages infant to 18+ receive services including: academic tutoring, counseling, psychological testing, psychiatric services and emancipation assistance.

At Ettie Lee, social workers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support families in any way they can.  This high level of commitment is also reflected in our comprehensive prospective foster/adoptive parent screening.  Foster/adoptive parents must successfully complete a criminal background check, earn state-issued foster family certification, and all families must be trained in infant/child/adult CPR and first aid.

All of our children come first.  All of our foster/adoptive homes provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment.  Ettie Lee Youth & Family Services' comprehensive services are designed to address each individual's needs while emphasizing, encouraging and facilitating ongoing contact with the birth family.  Where ever possible, a concerted effort is made to achieve family unification.  If this is not possible, then Ettie Lee will pursue adoption in a permanent family.
The overriding, constant goal is simple: healthy, happy children who know they are loved.
